Zimbabwe’s president Robert Mugabe read an outdated speech for the parliament on Tuesday after a mix up that his office takes responsibility for. The 91 year old president having read the 3 week old speech gave the opposition a reason to question his suitability for the office.

The Movement for Democratic Change (DMC), Zimbambwe’s main opposition party has questioned the health of the president.

Mugabe has no noticeable signs of ailing and has rejected any reports that are conflicting.

President’s spokesman George Charamba in a statement to the country’s national newspaper said the president will be reading the correct speech in a hotel in Harare later.

Mugabe has ruled the Zimbabwe since its independence in 1980.
