Marikana Commission: Nathi Mthethwa Apologises on Behalf of the government

Former South African Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa has apologised on behalf of the South African Government for the police gunning down more than 30 striking workers at the Lonmin Platinum Mine, in Marikana, on the 16th of August 2012.Mthethwa made the apology before the Marikana Commission of Inquiry, which is tasked with investigating what went wrong at Marikana that led to the worst massacre in South Africa since the Sharpeville Massacre in 1960.
