One of football greats, Argentinian football legend, Diego Armando Maradona said that he is willing to coach the Moroccan national football team, reports Morocco World news.

“I am ready to discuss any serious offer from Morocco to train here.” Said Maradona

Maradona said this on Saturday before the Green March Anniversary gala match game in Laayoune city in the disputed territory of Western Sahara.

‘The Green March was a strategic mass demonstration in November 1975, coordinated by the Moroccan government, to force Spain to hand over the disputed, autonomous semi-metropolitan province of Spanish Sahara to Morocco’

Maradona believes that the National football team of Morocco has a chance of reaching the 2018 world cup finals, although the team is in bad shape compared to the European teams and not classified as a strong team.

The football superstar said Morocco will struggle when it hosts the World Cup 2026 since its infrastructure has not been developed strongly.

Diego arrived in Morocco on Friday ahead of the Laayoune Gala Match, commemorating the 41st anniversary of the Moroccan Green March.

Maradona is scheduled to attend the COP22 (Climate Change) summit  in Marrakech from November 7th to the 18th.
