
Manchester United fans celebrate Cote d’Ivoire’s elimination from AFCON 2017
Manchester United fans on Twitter have been celebrating the elimination of Cote d’Ivoire from the Africa Cup of Nations showpiece taking place in Gabon.
The defending champions were bundled out by Morocco on Tuesday, leaving the competition without a single win.
The star-studded Elephants finished third on the Group C standings, only managing to finish above minnows Togo.
With their elimination from the tournament, Manchester United fans have taken to Twitter to show their excitement at the early return on defender Eric Bailly to the team.
Bailly may even possibly be included in the team to face Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup Fourth round on Saturday.
