Talks between warring factions in northern Mali could be in jeopardy. They were due to begin on Wednesday in neighboring Niger. Representatives of the armed groups however failed to show up, citing the latest escalation in violence. Meanwhile, Tuareg rebels in Kidal say they do not want the presence of United Nation troops in the region. Susan Mwongeli reports.
