Malawians given an opportunity to make money through walking
An online platform that gives people an opportunity to make money by walking set to launch in Malawi among other African countries.
The app, Bitwalking, pays digital currency earned by walking and can be used to purchase on an online store or trade for cash has selected Malawi as one of the first African countries to launch in the continent reports Face of Malawi.
Malawians will be able to make money off Bitwalking by literally walking and will be able to use the money to buy goods and services as the local currency Kwacha does. 1 Bitwalking dollars (BW$) is equal to one dollar which is equal to 400 Kwachas. To make 1 BW$ one needs to walk over 10,000 steps (about five miles).
Later on in the year, Malawians will be able to use the money earned from Bitwalking to purchase internet after Skyband announced earlier this year that will be accepting the BW$ for its internet.
A Bitwalking meeting will be held in June at the college of Medicine Sports in Blantyre Malawi, where people can learn more about the Application which can be downloaded for free at Google play.
“People are amazed at how easy it is to start Bitwalking, especially now that it is in the Google Play Store. The fact that some Malawians can possibly double their monthly income is really exciting.” – Carl Meyer, CEO of Source IT Solutions in Malawi
