Low tourists turn out slowing down business in Luxor Market, Egypt
Luxor Bazaar has had many years of prosperity, with traders working 24 hours to supply overwhelming numbers of tourists that pour into its narrow streets. However, things have not been so rosy lately, with the recent travel warnings to Egypt, tourists’ numbers have declined considerably forcing the traders to close shop at midnight.
The declining business has not tampered on the traders and locals’ high spirits, it is Thursday night and the market is alive with laughter and small talk. Even the little ones run around oblivious of the late hours of night.
From Arab inspired chandeliers to the Shisha bottles and ornaments, the market holds a variety of products that boast of Egyptian Heritage. A coloured montage inside a bottle made from powder seems very interesting, a veteran artists Al-Sam takes the time to make a bottle from scratch to show his skill.
