Kenya’s Miguna says he was barred from boarding plane to return home
The much-awaited return of the self-styled National Resistance Movement general Miguna Miguna could hit a snag after he was barred from leaving an airport in Germany.

Reports reaching TUKO.co.ke indicated an international red alert had been issued preventing him from flying to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or any other African country.
Speaking to Kenyan radio station HOT 96, Miguna said German authorities have been instructed not to allow him to board his flight to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) or any other African country.
“In fact, the Kenya Government has demanded that Lufthansa must refund my fare. They have demanded that Lufthansa should not fly me into any other African country, either,” said Miguna.
He claimed that the Lufthansa flight manager told him that the Government of Kenya must send official communication to Lufthansa at Frankfurt office before he can be allowed to fly to Kenya or any other African country.
“Lufthansa says that the red alert was issued by the Office of the President in Nairobi, Kenya,” he added.
Government Spokesperson Cyrus Oguna has said that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s recent remarks allowing lawyer Miguna Miguna to return to the country still stands.
Speaking on phone to The Star on Tuesday, Oguna said that the President had allowed for the lawyer’s comeback.
The exiled lawyer was expected to land in Kenya on Tuesday evening.
