Reigning London marathon champion Eliud Kipchoge will take on 2014 champion Wilson Kipsang in this year’s edition that will take place on April 24.
Kipchoge ,31, beat fellow Kenyan Kipsang ,33, in last year’s event, sprinting to finish ahead of him in what was a tightly contested affair between the two.
World record holder Dennis Kimetto, who clocked in third last year, will also compete for glory this year.
It had already been announced that 2015 women’s race winner, 28-year-old Ethiopian Tigist Tufa, will take on Kenya’s two-time victor Mary Keitany.
Ethiopia’s triple Olympic gold medallist Kenenisa Bekele and Eritrea’s world champion Ghirmay Ghebreslassie, 20, are also due to take part in the men’s race.
There will be 13 elite British male runners hoping to secure their place at this summer’s Olympics.
With Rio 2016 Olympic places to be won, there will be even more at stake for the Kenyan runners in the race.
