
Kenya’s COVID-19 cases rise to 262 as 16 more test positive

16 more people in Kenya have tested positive for COVID-19 raising the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 262.
The announcement made on Saturday by Health Cabinet Secretary Kagwe Mutahi stated that of the 16 new cases, 15 are Kenyan nationals and one is a foreign national; none had a history of travel.
The CS also said that seven people were discharged raising the number of recoveries to 60.
The number of death from coronavirus in the country stands at 12 after two more people died.
The CS urged Kenyans to put emphasis on the importance of nutrition and physical activity to boost their immunity to overcome the disease better and speed up recovery of illnesses.
Kenya received nearly 40,000 testing kits on Wednesday amid steps to increase its testing capacity in line with the three-fold approach of testing, isolating and treating.
