Kenya’s COVID-19 cases rise to 189

Health CS Mutahi Kagwe on Friday announced that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Kenya had risen to 189 after 5 more people tested positive for the virus.

In a press briefing, the CS confirmed that in the last 24 hours, over 500 samples had been tested for the coronavirus.

The CS stated that all the five were Kenyans with only one having a travel history. Three of the five are from Mombasa County while Nyandarua and Nairobi counties recorded one positive case each.

Further, the Health CS said that 10 individuals had recovered and would be discharged after they tested negative twice.

The number of recovered patients has now risen to 22.
