
Kenyans on Twitter react to death sentences handed to men who undressed woman
Three Kenyan men have been sentenced to death for attacking, stripping and robbing a woman in a bus three years ago.
The death sentence was imposed after the three were convicted of robbery with violence. A further sentence of 25 years was given for stripping the woman.
Nairobi chief magistrate Francis Andayi said the attack was a “senseless and uncouth act that they seemed to enjoy because they were cheering as they stripped the woman”, local media outlet Nation reports.
The news of the ruling has spread fast across the East African country, eliciting different reactions on social media.
The ever vocal Kenyans on Twitter have flocked the platform to air their opinions on the ruling handed to bus driver Nicholas Mwangi, touts Meshack Mwangi and Edward Ndung’u.
