Kenyan shilling steady; dollar demand from energy sector low

The Kenyan shilling was unchanged on Wednesday due to slowing dollar demand from the energy sector which had weakened the local currency to a record low last week, traders said.
At 0805 GMT, commercial banks quoted the shilling at 107.65/85 per dollar, the same as Tuesday’s close.
The shilling weakened to its all time low of 108.20 per dollar on July 22.
