Kenyan police kill three women who staged attack on police station
Kenyan police have killed three women who attacked a police station in the coastal city of Mombasa, officials say.
The women, wearing hijabs, entered the station saying they wanted to report a stolen cell phone, police say.
Once in the station, one of the women pulled a knife and another threw a petrol bomb that started a fire in the station.
Two officers were injured in the attack.
It is not yet clear who was behind the attack, but Somalia-based Islamist militant group al-Shabaab has staged numerous attacks in the East African country.
