Kenyan gov’t to set fire to large stockpile of ivory and rhino horns

Read < 1 minute

In Kenya, officials are preparing to burn over 100 tonnes of elephant ivory and rhino horn at the end of this month.

The Kenya Wildlife Service officials have unlocked containers of elephant tusks in Nairobi National Park, in preparation for what will be the biggest ever ivory burn in the world by one country.

The Kenyan government says this will demonstrate it’s zero tolerance to illegal wildlife trade.
