Kenya records 96 new COVID-19 cases
Ten more people have died in Kenya after contracting the corona virus, bringing the death toll to 634.
The Health ministry said that 96 new infections were picked up over the past day, pushing the number of known cases in the country to 36,301.
Health Chief Administrative Secretary Dr. Mercy Mwangangi said during the daily COVID-19 briefing that 121 more patients have recovered from the disease.
Of the new 121 recoveries, 97 patients were on home-based care and 24 in various hospitals. The total number of recoveries, since the disease was first detected in the country in March, now stands at 23,364.
