Kenya records 604 cases of COVID-19
Kenya on Wednesday confirmed 604 new cases of COVID-19 from 5,832 samples tested in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of confirmed positive infections to 42,541.
So far Kenya has tested 601,623 samples since March.
The health ministry said from the 604 cases, 583 are Kenyans and 21 are foreigners.
The cases are made up of 400 males and 204 females; the youngest is a five-month-old infant while the oldest is 94 years.
The Ministry of Health also announced 88 patients recovered from the virus with 56 on the home-based care program while 32 were discharged from various hospitals bringing the total number of recoveries to 31,428.
The death toll from the virus has also risen to 797 after 10 more patients succumbed to the virus.
