Kenya records 388 cases of COVID-19, recoveries reach 31,000
Kenya on Sunday confirmed 388 new cases of COVID-19 from 4,287 samples tested in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of confirmed positive infections to 41,546.
So far Kenya has tested 591,198 samples since March.
The health ministry said from the 388 cases, 383 are Kenyans and five are foreigners.
The 388 cases are made up of 284 males and 104 females; the youngest is a four-year-old child while the oldest is 85 years.
The Ministry of Health also announced 63 patients recovered from the virus with 23 on the home-based care program while 40 were discharged from various hospitals bringing the total number of recoveries to 31,000.
The death toll from the virus has also risen to 766 after six more patients succumbed to the virus.
