Kenya records 143 new COVID-19 cases
The Ministry of Health has announced 143 new cases of COVID-19; from 3854 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
The new cases push the total number of positive cases confirmed so far to 35,603 and the cumulative number of tests done so far to 485836.
The new infections comprise 129 Kenyans and 14 foreigners aged between 9 months and 83 years.
In terms of gender, 85 are male while 58 are female.
Nairobi still tops with 35 new cases while Kitui follows with 23.
Making the announcement Thursday afternoon during the daily briefing by the Ministry of Health, Dr. Aman also revealed that another 490 patients have recovered from the disease, bringing total recoveries in Kenya to 22,047.
Over the same period, five more patients succumbed to the disease, raising Kenya’s Covid-19 death toll to 612.m
