Kenya on a mission of resurgence in cricket

Read < 1 minute

Kenyan cricketers are hoping to lift the former East African powerhouse back to its glory days.

A team of young players have been holding training sessions in Nairobi, aiming at lifting the levels of cricket back to world standards.  Kenya stormed onto the world stage at the 2003 World Cup, where they upset Sri Lanka at home in the group stages before two forfeitures worked in their favor and another upset over Zimbabwe led them to the semi-finals.

The country has since then, endured a long spell of lackluster performances.
