Kenya’s national men’s basketball team, Morans was too strong for their North African opponents Tunisia beating them 82-76 in the ongoing inaugural Fiba AfroCan tournament in Bamako Mali on Thursday.

Kenya stormed their way into the semi-finals where they will battle it out against Morocco at the same venue.

Captain Griffin Ligare led the Morans with 22 points after shooting 44.4% from the field, hitting 8-of-18 from the floor, 2-of-8 from 3-point range and 4 of 5 free throws.

It was Kenya’s Erick Mutoro who ran riot on the court grabbing 14 points against the Tunisians in an encounter that stretched to the wire forcing an overtime decider.

On Wednesday Kenya beat Ivory Coast in the previous round.
