Kampala camp nurtures young talent, promotes basketball
A new basketball camp in Uganda is teaching young players ball skills and life lessons, while also raising the profile of the sport in the East African country.
More than 100 young players aged between 5 and 14 have been camped out at the Victory Church basketball court in Kampala. The Excel Mini-Basketball camp takes children through basic shooting and footwork techniques.
The camp uses experienced coaches and a solid structure in a bid to strengthen the future of an already fast-growing sport in Uganda.
