Kagame’s sons make a debut in Rwanda football team

The sons of Rwandese President Paul Kagame played their maiden game for the country’s under twenty football team on Saturday against Morocco in Amahoro Stadium in Kigali, Rwanda. Ian Kigenza Kagame and Bryan Cyizere Kagame first game was played in honour of the genocide memorial.

Ian Kigenza Kagame was given an opportunity besides Rwanda’s skipper Savio Dminique to give a speech to football fans to honour the more than one million lives lost during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Ian was included in the starting line before he was replaced by Park Udahemuka 27 minutes into the game.

The game which ended in a 1 – 1 draw was part of the Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA)’s commemoration the Genocide.
