Kagame cup updates:Rwanda to face off against Al Khartoum of Sudan
It is a rest day at the ongoing east and central African football club championship after the conclusion of the group stage matches on Sunday.
The Cecafa Kagame Cup quarter final matches will resume on Tuesday with group B leaders APR of Rwanda facing off against Al Khartoum of Sudan.
Also on Tuesday, Kenyan football giants Gor Mahia will play third best Malakia of South Sudan while on Wednesday, Ugandan outfit KCCA will square off against Al Shandy from Sudan before the cracker between the two Tanzanian giants, Young Africans and Azam at the National Stadium in Tanzania.
Meanwhile newly signed Azam FC forward Allan Wanga believes Gor Mahia can go all the way to the final of this year’s regional club championships in Tanzania.
Gor Mahia take on South Sudan champions Malakia in Tuesday’s quarter-final after topping Group ‘A’ on ten points. “The quarter final stage is normally a very tricky place to be in.
Yanga of Tanzania helped Gor Mahia to top spot after stopping Al Khartoum by a solitary goal at the same venue on Sunday while the Kenyan champions whipped Telekom of Djibouti 3-1.
Yanga will now meet Azam FC while Khartoum will take on APR of Rwanda.
In the other match, KCC of Uganda will face Al Shandy of Sudan.
