Ivorians attracted to ‘war game’ as a pastime
It is an activity which is known more for its use in military training than as a professional sport – paintball.
However, Ivorians are increasingly becoming attracted to paintball shooting – a war game played with special amateur rifles and guns. In Songon village almost 19 kilometers away from the Ivorian Capital, Abidjan – players get the chance to do some paintball shooting. Helmets, guns, throwers, balls, breastplates, are all the gears with which players need to take up the activity. While the aim is to take out as many opponents as possible – strategy within a team is key and it might not be as easy as it looks.
Players part with about 17 dollars for a game and share their experiences.
