In a show of true sportsmanship and kindness, Israel’s Women’s Lacrosse team gifted its Kenyan counterpart with new cleats following their matchup in Women’s Lacrosse World Championships.
Israel beat Kenya 13-4 but during the match, the Israelis noticed that their opponents did not have the proper cleats to play.
The next day, they returned to the field bearing gifts.
The Kenyan team was quite touched by the generous gesture which went viral on social media platforms. Lacrosse fans across the globe saying that the gesture is the very “heart and soul” of sportsmanship.
Kenya bounced back from Wednesday’s defeat against Israel to beat Belgium 16-9. On Friday the only East African nation faces Chinese Taipei in the 22-team tournament.
