Israel Accepts Gaza Truce Proposal

Israel has agreed to an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire in the week-long conflict between Israel and Hamas. Hamas however appears to have rejected the idea, with its spokesperson saying the group would not accept a truce without a fully-fledged deal to end hostilities.The proposal calls for a ceasefire followed by negotiations in Cairo in 48 hours which would be attended by both sides.
