The report on the most and least liveable cities in world is out. Is your city in it? well lets have a look.

The Economist Intelligence Unit’s annual global liveability ranking says Melbourne a city in Australia is the most liveable city in the world and this city has won this award for the 5th consecutive year.

The rankings give Australia four cities in the top 10 worldwide, followed by Canada with three in the top 10.

How about the least habitable city in the world? i guess many tounges will get tallking. Most may also say that it’s not suprising the least liveable cities are in Africa.

According to the survey Tripoli, Lagos, Port Moresby, Dhaka and Damascus ranked as the five least liveable cities out of the 140 surveyed.

This survey is usually all about the top cities to live in when the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) publishes its annual livability Ranking — but this year the picture is rather more gloomy.

Melbourne took the top spot  with Vienna, Vancouver, Toronto and Adelaide/Calgary (tied at 5) completing the “top five most livable cities” in 2015.
According to the EIU, these cities have “relatively few challenges to living standards,” and enjoy a good infrastructure, healthcare system and a low murder rate.

“The EIU ranking, which provides scores for lifestyle challenges in 140 cities worldwide, shows that since 2010 average liveability across the world has fallen by 1%, led by a 2.2% fall in the score for stability and safety. While this may seem marginal, it highlights that 57 of the cities surveyed have seen declines in liveability over the last five years,” this year’s report stated.
