Is there a rift between Giggs and Van Gaal?
Manchester united Boss Louis van Gaal has denied rumors of a rift with his deputy couch Ryan Giggs.
Rumors started doing the rounds on the internet just after the manager celebrated the clubs winning goal against Newcastle United with Giggs who showed no emotions at all.
It seems Giggs wasn’t amused at his boss’s celebration of the clubs victory.Television footage of the Dutchman turning to Giggs to share his happiness showed the Welshman stony-faced.
Van Gaal has dismissed the rumors of the two not being friends at work saying the cooperate very well, and that he’s not happy at public suggestions that him and his assistant don’t work very well together.
Reports say that Giggs who held the position of manager for some time before van Gaal was brought on board, would obviously like a manager’s position at some point in his future career.
Paul Scholes, a close friend and former United team-mate, believes Giggs who wants to be a managet at some point of his career, may leave the club before the end of his three-year contract in 2017.
Looking forward to United’s FA Cup quarter-final against Arsenal on Monday evening at Old Trafford, Van Gaal is quoted by the Guardian as saying: “United and Arsenal are placed third and fourth in the league, so it’s almost like a final. I hope we can give a fantastic match for the fans. I think if we beat them it is a big blow for them but if they beat us it is a big blow for us. It is a very important game, not only for the FA Cup but also for the rat race.”
