“I’d have started thin air over Iwobi” – Arsenal fans blast Nigerian after poor show against Bayern Munich
Nigerian Alex Iwobi was part of the Arsenal team that was thrashed 5-1 by Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night in the Champions League, ending the Gunners dream of progression into the quarter final stage, well, unless they can instigate a miraculous 4-0 win over the German side in the return leg to be played at the Emirates.
Iwobi played 66 minutes of the duel, but only managed to make 12 passes, prompting angry reactions from Arsenal fans on Twitter.
While the player has in some games shown great quality, his performance last night was underwhelming.
Some fans questioned coach Arsene Wenger’s decision to start the Nigerian youngster ahead of the more experienced Walcott or Welbeck.
Having fallen well behind the Premier League chase, Arsenal are out of the Champions League in the Round of 16 stage for the seventh consecutive year. Their focus now shifts to the weekend’s game against lowly Sutton United in the FA Cup.

The 2 players u do NOT start in big tough away grounds are Iwobi/Ozil.
1 a young kid learning the game, the other a weak, spineless fraud

Remember when Arsenal fans thought Iwobi had talent because he was related to Okocha?
He's the black Obertan

Alex Iwobi reminds me of the lad in the Whatsapp group who never posts anything. You're sure here's there, you just don't see him…

Young fresh blood Iwobi not being able to keep up with a retiring Philip Lahm is so so hilarious 😂
