Hospital produces 2017 calendar with adorable newborn babies performing CT, ultrasound scans
Staff of Wigan Hospital, Greater Manchester, have produced a 2017 calendar featuring their adorable newborn babies performing CT and ultrasound scans.
The 12 babies were born in the X-ray department of this hospital this year, with each undertaking different work in the Babiographers Calendar. September’s star seems to run a crucial scan with headphones squashing his cute face.
And November shows a lovely baby looking at an X-ray of its teddy. As an amateur photographer, senior radiographer Tom Welton took the pictures of the children.
The Calendar includes his nine-month-old daughter, Isabelle. The calendar was produced to raise money for Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), which aims to prevent male suicide. Besides, it was to support research into a rare life-limiting genetic condition called vanishing white matter in honour of three-year-old Bella Morris, the daughter of a radiographer.
It is delighted that the calendar has drew global eyes and has been bought by people around the world, including orders from America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. So far, they have tipped over the £4,000 mark with over 500 calendars sold, which proved to be a success.
