Half a million people benefit from the Takaful income support project in Egypt

Egypt is proud to have achieved its goal for the first wave of its new conditional cash transfer programs, known locally as Karama and Takaful.

They reached half-a-million poor Egyptian families in March, and the program’s performance to date has encouraged the government to continue expanding it.
