Guinea Bissau election loser cries foul, will contest result in court

The loser in Guinea Bissau’s presidential election, Domingos Simoes Pereira says he is planning to contest the result at the Supreme Court.He told his supporters on Wednesday.

Former Prime Minister Umaro Cissoko Embalo was declared winner of the run-off vote by the electoral commission on Wednesday.

Embalo also an ex-army general won Sunday’s presidential election with 54% of the vote, the electoral commission said on Wednesday.
