Green energy-powered boat prepares for round-the-world trip

Read < 1 minute

In 2014, a plane named Solar Impulse completed a round-the-world trip using only energy derived from the sun.

Now, a water-borne vessel, aims to do the exact same thing. The catamaran has been christened the Energy Observer, and it will be powered by the sun, along with a bit of wind and autonomously-produced hydrogen.

As Maria Galang explains, the vessel is expected to set sail in February.
