Ghana’s COVID-19 cases surpass 37,000 with 787 more infections

The number of people infected by the novel coronavirus in Ghana has increased to 37,014 as 787 new cases confirmed here early Sunday, Ghana Health Service (GHS) said.

The GHS put the figure for recovered and discharged cases at 33,365, as 1,269 additional confirmed infected cases completed their treatment.

The death toll from COVID-19 infections in Ghana remained at 182, according to the GHS, with 3,467 active cases.

At least 22 million Ghanaians experienced reduced incomes since the pandemic first broke out in March, according to the Ghana Statistical Service.
