Ghana police to launch a website as part of efforts to fight crime
The Ghana police service will soon launch a new website that will enable it to gather detailed information about crime in the country, reports Citi fm.
There will be useful information on personal and public safety and security on the platform, which is set to be launched this month.
“Happily ,we have designed a website that is so interactive that journalists can quickly go there for information. It is going to be launched within two weeks and I’m sure that is going to alleviate some of the challenges that you’ve been facing,” said the Inspector General of Police, David Asante Apeatu.
The IGP believes the website will help foster a good working relationship between the police and the media by ironing out the communications barriers.
Most importantly, the website will also proverb an easily accessible platform for the public to send information directly to the police and make enquiries about activities of the service.
