Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was voted the EA SPORTS Player of the Month for September after netting five goals in four matches for Arsenal.

Aubameyang’s goals saw Arsenal go unbeaten in the Premier League in that time. Arsenal beat Aston Villa and drew against Watford, Tottenham and Manchester United.

Aubameyang topped a list of eight players which included Callum Wilson, John McGinn, Kevin De Bruyne, Ricardo Pereira, Riyad Mahrez, Son Heung-min and Trent Alexander Arnold.

This is the second time Aubameyang has won the award, the other time being in October 2018.

Meanwhile, Mali’s Moussa Djenepo won the award for Premier League Goal of the Month for the same period.

Djenepo’s strike was a stunning solo effort for Southampton against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

Djenepo showed skill and strength to beat three defenders to score what would be the winning goal of the match.

Djenepo defeated seven other contenders (Jetro Willems, Fikayo Tomori, Jeff Hendrick, James Maddison, Aaron Cresswell, Trent Alexander-Arnold and N’Golo Kanté) to claim the award.

Djenepo, in the process, became the fourth African to pick up the award after Morocco’s Sofiane Boufal, Côte d’Ivoire’s Jean Michael Seri and Kenya’s Victor Wanyama.
