Four injured in commuter bus attack along Kenya Somalia border
At least four passengers were injured as gunmen ambushed a commuter bus in Kenya’s Mandera county along the Somali border on Tuesday, the police said.
Rono Bunei, Northeastern regional commander confirmed the incident, saying al-Shabab suspects sprayed the bus with bullets in Kutulo area in northeast Kenya.
Kutulu area where the attack happened has seen several attacks from suspected al-Shabab militants.
Kenya’s northeastern region has borne the brunt of grenade and gun attacks in the last several years since Kenya took its troops to Somalia in 2011 to fight the al-Shabab militia group.
