The Nigerian army reportedly arrested and interrogated former President Goodluck Jonathan’s Aide-de-Camp (ADC) in connection  with an ongoing probe into fraud relating to an arms procurement deal.

Colonel Ojogbane Adegbe was arrested on Wednesday, along with seven other serving officers who were handed over to officials from the country’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday.

Adegbe’s arrest follows the EFCC’s probe into the army’s hand in the arms scandal.

According to The Sun, the former ADC said a whole new can of worms could be opened if he were to disclose information about the dealings that transpired during Jonathan’s administration.

He said another “Dasukigate” could be imminent if he was forced to divulge confidential information.
