First ever Tanzania – Rwanda forum to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries

Over 50 Tanzanian companies and over 70 companies from Rwanda to participate in the first ever Tanzania – Rwanda business forum set to happen on Friday reports The Citizen.

“So far, over 100 companies from both Tanzania and Rwanda have confirmed to take part in the event… everything is going as planned” Said Mr. Hurbert Kissasi, a forum manager in Tanzania told the Citizen

The forum is focused on strengthening bilateral trade and investment opportunities between the two East African countries. It is giving the participants an opportunity to engage in top quality business to business discussions, an important step in improving trade ties between the two countries.

Rwanda Private Sector Federation, the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, The Tanzania Trade development Authority and The Tanzania Truck Owners Association came together in the organization of this forum that will aid business professionals have a more direct personal access to stakeholders in each other’s country including an access to government officials which are key decision makers in policy and government cooperation.

The conference will hold exhibitions and networking events which will also give an opportunity for new products to be launched.
