FIFA president Gianni Infantino to visit Nigeria in July

FIFA president Gianni Infantino will visit Nigeria to hold a meeting with a legion of African FA president in Abuja.

The 46-year-old will arrive in the capital Abuja on 24 July, the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) said.

Infantino, elected in February this year, will be accompanied by new FIFA secretary general Fatma Samoura.

NFF president Amaju Pinnick met with the FIFA president on Sunday in the French capital, Paris.

“The Fifa president and secretary-general will arrive in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, on Sunday 24th July on a two-day working visit to Nigeria,” Pinnick said on the NFF website.

The FIFA officials will also meet Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari.
