Read < 1 minute

It’s a window into West Africa covering 100 years- from the 1870s to the 1970s.

A current exhibit at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art draws from freshly donated works and from the museum’s archives, highlighting amateur and professional photographers from Senegal to Cameroon, Mali to Gabon.

CCTV’s Lorna Shaddick went to take a look.
