Everton F.C. stars arrive in Kenya

Kenyan football fans will get a chance on Sunday to see Premier League football stars in action live in Nairobi, as Everton F.C. play Kariobangi Sharks in Nairobi.

The English Premier League side arrived in Nairobi on Saturday ahead of that game, while an ealy delegation arrived earlier in the week, including former Eveton stars Steven Pienaar and Leon Osman.

The Merseyside club carried 22 players for the fixture will be played at the Kasarani Stadium in the Kenyan capital.

This is the first time ever that Everton has sent a team to Kenya, but second time in two years, having visited neighbouring Tanzania in 2018.

Among the players that arrived in Nairobi include former Arsenal forward Theo Walcott and Andre Gomes – who is fresh from sealing a permanent deal to Everton from Barcelona.

The game will be played courtesy of SportPesa, which is on a five-year shirt sponsorship deal with Everton, beginning 2017.

Theo Walcott, Andre Gomes, Morgan Schneiderlin, Leighton Baines, Ashley Williams, Maarten Stekelenburg, Jonas Lössl, Mason Holgate, Darron Gibson, Dennis Adeniran, Tom Davies, Ademola Lookman, Oumar Niasse, Ryan Astley, Callum Connolly, Morgan Feeney, Antonee Robinson, Beni Baningime, Nathan Broadhead, Fraser Hornby, Josh Bowler, Nathangelo Markelo.

Coach Marco Silva and his technical team have also traveled to Nairobi, and will take charge of the team in Sunday’s game.
