The qualifiers for the 2016 Orange African Nations Championship were underway this weekend and Ethiopia recorded a 2-0 victory over Kenya to boost their qualification chance while Namibia has beaten Zambia 2-1.  Elsewhere, Zimbabwe secured a 2-0 home win against  Comoros Islands.

Only home-based stars can compete in the CHAN, which was created to give local talent international exposure because many African national teams are dominated by foreign-based stars.
