The tiny, land-locked kingdom of eSwatini has reported its first confirmed case of COVID-19. The country’s health ministry acknowledged the infection in a statement on Saturday.
The patient is a 33-year-old woman who arrived in the nation in March 7, leaving the United States in late-February and spending a breif time transiting through Lesotho. The health minister’s statement indicates she is currently in stable condition and remains in isolation.

Samples from the patient where tested in a South African laboratory where, on March 11, they yielded positive results for the novel coronavirus.
Health officials in the kingdom are urging all Swazis to take the necessary precautions to prevent the further spread of the disease.
