Egypt’s Zamalek crowned African Handball Champions

Egypt’s Zamalek won the African Championships for the 9th time after beating the holders Club African of Tunisia in the African Champions League final in Morocco.

The Friday game had the White Knights dominate most parts of the game following a brief fall back early on in the first half. After picking up themselves, the team by halftime had a 17 -14 lead which extended to 13 goals in the final stages of the second half.

At the end of the game, the Egyptians led with a 35 – 22 winning the title since 2011. Zamalek will play in IHF Super Globe 2016, a contest of the champion clubs from Africa’s Confederations.
