Egyptian FM heads to Rome to take part in international meeting on Libya

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Saturday left here to Rome to participate in an international meeting called for by Italy to discuss the Libyan crisis.

The meeting, to be held on Sunday, will be attended by a number of international and regional parties and representatives of the Libyan fractions as well as United Nations envoy to Libya Martin Kobler.

The meeting is meant to encourage the Libyans to reach a political rapprochement and form a national unity government as well as international community’s role to support the national unity government after being formed and means to confront terrorism in Libya.
