Egyptian farmers switch to water conserving irrigation methods

Farmers in Egypt are combating water shortages with a new method of irrigation.

They’re planting wheat fields on raised beds,  which saves water and increases crop yields.

The initiative is supported by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
