
Egyptian entrepreneurs to receive over a million dollars from the UK
The United Kingdom (UK) will release 1.1 English pounds (1.4 USD) to fund Egyptian entrepreneurs over a three year period according to the UK Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson while meeting the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi according to the daily news
The British embassy in Cairo held an event to celebrate the best entrepreneurial projects giving young entrepreneurs the chance to connect with business figures. During the event, Johnson listened to young entrepreneurs and their descriptions of their projects.
UK also agreed to give a loan worth 150 million USD to Egypt for the government economic reforms and 18 million dollars will go to the protection of vulnerable groups in Egyptian society from the reform’s consequences.
The British Council’s signed 70 new partnerships with the Egyptian universities on education and will also increase of English language teachers trained by the council.
