Egypt to revoke licenses of forex offices that don’t comply with foreign exchange rules

In a desperate move to control foreign exchange rates on the black market, Egypt has launched a crackdown on all forex offices that trade at black market rates. Cairo wants to hold the US dollar at 8.88 Egyptian pounds, but the demand for the greenback is way higher.
